As a part of a effort to reduce waste, I designed and implemented a website for the film festival in summer 2014. The website was used to replace the paper ballots used in the past for the People’s Choice Voting Awards.
Designed a responsive mobile website that supported several popular mobile browsers
Constructed a backend in PHP and MySQL to collect votes for a film using a unique 2 letter code for each film
Implemented anti-tampering measures to mitigate fraudulent votes such as users voting more than once
Trained over 500 volunteers to be able to help festival attendees. The training also served as the first large scale test to find any bugs and stress test the backend
